Problem for Dell Dimension 4600 PC Desktop
Sound problem
I have recently reinstalled the whole XP package, and my sound doesn't work at all...When I go to the control panel to try an adjust the volume it says 'no audio device' My real player and windows media player do not even attempt to play anything, real player saying it can't detect a sound card.... Not really sure what to do, I just have a standard pair of head-phone jack speakers that came with it, your help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

- From Riff-RaffThank you very much for your help was a bit apprehensive as I spent a good 30 min on the dell site before i posted my SOS. But, I followed the link and installed that driver and it works perfectly! Thank for all your help, all the best

Try downloading the sound driver here http://support.dell.com/support/download...
then install it, restart and things should be up and running
