Can't completely delete files from 2GB Cruzer drive

I've tried to delete files off of my drive and apparently the items haven't been deleted because the drive shows that 1.3GB is used when my computer shows that there aren't any files left on the drive. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks

If you wish to completely delete the data from the drive --
Better is to do format it..

The thing to check is to make sure you empty the recycle bin on the computer that you used to delete the file. Once you do this it should free up the space.

Let me know if you have any more problems or questions

How do I erase the files from the cruzer

Connect the USB device.
Windows will assign a drive-letter, e.g., 'E:' to the drive.
Open "My Computer".
Double-click on the 'E:' drive.
Click on a file, and then press the DELETE key on your keyboard.
This will delete the file (by moving it to your 'Recycle Bin').

Or, press SHIFT-DELETE to _permanently_ delete the file.

Deleting files does not free up disk space

Note that "deleted" items move from their location into the "Recycle Bin".

So, "empty" the Recycle Bin, in order to reclaim the space.

Or, when deleting:
1. click ONCE to select a file/folder to be deleted
2. hold the SHIFT key down
3. click the DELETE key
4. release the SHIFT key

This will "permanently" delete the file/folder, immediately freeing-up the disk-space.

Recover deleted files from Cruzer?

Since you are using Macbook, you can go to this program USB Flash Drive Recovery for Mac for help. If you are running a computer with Windows, go to Data Recovery for Windows. It should help you out.
Note: before recovery, DO NOT save more files to the USB drive.
