Question about Refrigerators
Sounds like your coils may blocked with ice, preventing airflow to the fridge section. This can be caused by two things. The defrost timer isn't working; a bad timer or timer motor. Or, the defrost heater has burned out. A few checks with a volt/ohmmeter should narrow it down. The timer &timer motor are generally reasonably accessable in the back. The defrost heater is another story. You'll probably have to take some of the freezer panels off to get at it. The parts aren't that expensive but, if you can't do it yourself, labor might be pricey. With new fridges running $800 to $1000+ , if yours isn't too old it would be wise to fix it. good luck, John
