Question about Computers & Internet

I have a SONY Plasma 50" Wega tv. There is no picture on any channel -- the screen is orange. There is sound. The tv is about 4 years old. It's not the cable box -- we have another LCD tv that works fine.

Using tv as moniter for games

Try setting the resolution on the desktop when you are on the tv I found that I had this problem before myself and the only way to make it bigger was adjusting my desktop resolution I had also made sure all my settings where correct on my tv as well but I think if you goto the advanced properties on your secoundary or primary if you are using that and adjust the resolution.

are you using VGA or SVIDEO?

My 50 inch sony bravia screen cracked. how much is it to get repaired?

It can cost anywhere between £50 and $200 ($100 and £300) to get a 50 inch LCD TV fixed, if you have a Plasma TV, it'll be a bit more than that.

I OWN A 4 1/2 YEAR OLD FUJITSU 50 INCH PLASMA. THE RED LIGHT THAT NORMALLY INDICATES THE SET IS OFF, HAS GONE DARK. THE SET WON'T POWER UP. ALL THE OTHER BOXES AND ARE IN WORKING ORDER. WHAT DO I DO?

Well, if it's still in warrantee, you find a reputable licensed technician to see about it.
What's this about other boxes that work? The video sources?
If it is not in warrantee, you probably set out some towels, get a couple of people for spotters, take the screen down and dust it out, checking for other signs of damage or overheating, or simple tripped fuses, then re-plug and see if it feels more like powering up.
Then, if it doesn't power up, it will become handy to have a repair manual for the thing and the usual electronic troubleshooting bench setup and readings; or at least a good search of the --particular model-- you have online or at the sales shop or otherwise, to see what parts of it respond to replacement according to the product's or maker's reputation.

Finally...how in blazes, you can tell us, is a 50" plasma screen a generic problem of PC Desktops?
