Try doing an alignment with the printheads. You can also try changing the inks,if that solves the problem eventhough old inks are stil not empty, contacts might be the issue on old inks which causes error blinking lights which is an indication of printhead rejection.
the resume button is on the control panel . Peform a self-test by pressing and holding the RESUME button on the control panel until the product begins printing. A test page prints. you may have to hit enter to get to see resume after you have cleared the jam
I was having same problem but it was a paper jam all the time and then it started to state Cairrage Jam. And what was happening was the unit the cartridges sit in was not going all the way to the right. A little nudge and you could feel it move. Closed lid and sometimes it would print but eventually it would fail. Just replaced but I suspect if you can get to the cairrage you could clean/repair whatever was keeping it from going all the way to the right.
When you removed the jammed paper , the jam paper sensor was not reset or positioned correctly.
The reason the machine was sending two pieces of paper thru at once was probably due to the paper
feed sensor. A lot of H'Ps do this. Try re-aligning the tray and if you pulled the paper out and heard a grinding noise, the whole feed unit is probably out of time.I would only re-install the
software as a last resort, since your problem was caused by hardware, not software. Scrivitron
