Question about Whirlpool LEB6300 Electric Dryer
My dryer tumbles but will not heat. I have replaced and/or checked all three thermostats and fuse. I have also replaced the heating element. I have checked the voltage and I am getting 220 to the dryer. What else can it be?
I had the same problem today. After stumbling through the schematics (they were taped up behind the main control panel on top of the dryer) and ohming out a bunch of different parts with my multimeter, I finally took the heater element out and found that it had burned in two in a spot (I could see it once I took the element off of the dryer). I replaced it for about $80. The guy at the parts store said that is usually caused by a clogged vent, which is probably the case for mine, since my vent is poorly designed. I hope this helps someone.
