Question about Sanyo LAMP Projector Lamp FOR PLC-SW30/SW35 PROJECTORS

Open Question

Poor picture The left hand side and lower edge of the projected picture has a bluish appearance superimposed. This fades towards the middle and right hand side and top where the picture is good. Has a filter or prism moved inside? I need to know what can be dismantled safely if it can be put right. I am an expert mechanical engineer but would like some advice before delving in. As I have not had this apart yet I do not know from the specification whether it has one or three Liquid Crystal Display panels inside.

I have a Sony lcd data projector- VPL-SC50.. There is a big black blob in the middle, with other lines near the edges. And the blob is growing larger now. But it does not look like a burn out, it looks...

Normally a "blob" on an LCD is a delamination of one or more of the LCD panels. But, they are usually not black. You may have a poor ribbon cable connection from the main board to the LCD panels....there is a ribbon connection to each of the Red, Green and Blue panels. It's either that or a main board failure, but certainly soemthing you want the factory or other authorized service center to check out.

Good luck.

My Viewsonic PJ860 projector (aka Hitachi CP-S860W) has developed a condition in which there is a yellow vertical stripe down the right edge of the screen and a blue vertical stripe down the left side of...

It does sound like this is an alignment problem of the blue LCD or a problem on the main board controlling it. I am not sure if this is a field adjustable unit. A call to the authorized service center should provide that answer.

this projector does not have lcd's. it has a colorwheel and a light tunnel. the light tunnel has probably collapsed and needs to be replaced if you have distortion in the middle of the display. if it were to one side or the other or a the top or bottom it may have been adjustable. But wiith it being in the middle, I'd have to say you needed a new light tunnel.

Rdf 50we655 lamp replacement--where is access panel

Solved the replacement problem. Access panel is the entire lower front of the set. Two coin slot fastners, located on the rear down low on the outboard edges are the releases. Having undone those fastners, pull gentley from the outboard edges of the lower front panel. There are big snap fastners that will release as you pull from the bottom, working your way toward the center. Once removed, the cover for the light box is just left of center, held on by two allen or phillips head screws. Remove the screws and pullon the vertical fin on the cover. When it is removed, you can pull on the bulb box, the box will come unplugged and slides out. At this point replace the old box with the new one, and repeat the process in reverse. If you did not buy the box, just the bulb, the internet directions and video are very good. Hope this helps!!

Lines on screen

It's probably the DLP unit (or control circuit).

Of course, if you state the make and model#, we can rule out it being a LCD projector.

AND because it's worded more like an LCD symptom it's *almost* certainly the LCD. (or definately electrons not arriving inside it)

Image problem

IF I understand the problem from the limited info in your question, the problem is a distorted picture on whatever surface [probably a wall, or screen] onto which the image is projected.

With all lenses, the axis [centerline of the lens projected] MUST be absolutely PERPENDICULAR [in both the vertical and horizontal planes] to the perfectly plane [flat] surface onto which the image is projected.

IF for example, the projector is mounted in a rear corner of the room, and the camera is aimed downward and to one side to project the image on the center of the opposite wall, or a screen located there, the image will be distorted. It will be larger on one edge [fartherist from the lens] and smaller on the opposite [nearest] edge.

If it is non-perpendicular in only one axis, then two opposite edges will be different lengths, and if out of perpendicular in two axis then no edges will be the same length.

The solution to this problem is that the center axis of the lens must be perpendicular to the surface projected on, in both vertical and horizontal axis.

How to add lubricant to the cylinder for convertible top 1988 mustang

Inside the front most part of the trunk is the top motor. Remove the blocking panel from inside the trunk to gain access. On the right side of the motor is a rubber plug that can be removed to check fluid level and to add fluid. Note that you can pickup the cylinder and turn it on it's side to fill it.

Be aware that if you have lost a substantial amount of fluid, the fluid level may simply be a symptom - and not the cause. Check for leaks by removing the back seat base and see if the floors are dry on the left or right side. If a hydraulic ram is leaking, it will leak fluid onto the floor at the sides of the seat area.

Kf-42610 blue hue and blue dots on screen

Hi Guys

The Blue dots or discolouration you are seeing is due too the Blue LCD screen having cracked from excessive heat. This normally happens when you have a power failure while the Television was on. This obviously because the Blue LCD sits next to the lamp - the main cause of heat. The correct part number on the 60" is A-1086-952-A. It is very, very ,expensive.

Sorry to have been the bearer of bad news. Good luck : )
