Hi it maybe the laser starting to wear, it may need replaced however double check the disk for scratches first

The laser in the xbox could have made that ring or perhaps the people you sent it to to fix it did. You can't do anything but buy a new one.

your dvd board is going out or your laser is screwed as this as happened to mine before. get it repaired. i have no idea how to fix it without a personal repair. if you had to repair it yourself, i would consider switching out your laser.

your game is not right downloaded because probably is a piece of the game but i think is not the full game so try to download it somewhere other website and try it again.I hope it helps

Is this an issue with any other games you have? If it is then it is likely you will need to clean your laser disc.

However, I am assuming that this is just an issue with a specific game. The disc that you have is likely scratched or faulty to some degree. Replacing this disk is likely the only way you will ever play this game again.

Just purchased Dance Central game for xmas. Played it and it worked fine for one session, then switched to a different game disc. After playing the second disc for a little while, tried to go back to Dance...

We had the exact same issue. It worked fine the first time, we switched games and when we tried to play it again it gave us the unreadable disc error. I cleaned it multiple times and called tech support with no luck... they actually suggested returning it. In a last attempt I took it to a game store in town and they cleaned it for $1. He said we had a lazer burn which is common with the xbox... even if the console is barely bumped it can burn a circle into the disc. Sure enough, our Dance Central is working 100% now. Hope that helps!!

When i try starting a game it says unrecognized disc. that the disc is unreadable and to 1 clean the disc with a clean soft cloth 2 restart your console and earlier today it was working fine.

Are you under warranty? Eventually your drive is going to fail. This is usually the first sign assuming your disc is fine.

find out which dvd drive you have, hitachi, samsung, phillips, etc...then buy a 20 dollar replacement same brand, switch the little green board from yours to the new one, new drive no errors...hope it helps...

put the disc in the drive and go to game library. then select game and save to hard drive. this will back up your game. takes 10 mins approx. then play game from hard drive. [email protected]

Unreadable disk error happens because the sensors on the DVD drive are overheating, it is not normally because the drive is faulty.

The glass laser eye is what needs to be cleaned or just open the cd/disc drawer and blow inside real hard 2 times and you should be good. Rubbing alcohol and cotton swab.

i reccomend if ur a live member download some multiplayer demos (i personnaly play bf badcompany) sicne they dont work and clean ur disc(s) with a cloth if that doesnt work it might be scrachted so i reccomend goin to game stop and trade it for a better game or pay to get it fixed
