Question about Zanussi WJS1397W Front Load Washer / Dryer

1 Answer

Runs through the whole programme washing and drying mixed in about 5 minutes

I had my machine about 6 years, and now have the following problem: the programme dial moves really fast through all the programmes with all the clicking noises and the dryer even coming on in between as well. So it's no use at all. Is it worth fixing, and how much will it cost, can I do it? Or would I be better off getting a new one at this stage? Ta

Can be fixed but it will more then likely be the timer and this can cost upto £160 to have someone to come out to do it so replace it u could buy a graded washer which is just a pre-damaged waher ie;dent or scratch this will save u around £150 on new this is the best information i can offer to u m8

How do you cancel wash cycle on candy do df 800 the programme is stuck on filling up so have turned water supply off but cannot cancel programme

Good evening Julie
you have problems with your Candy, so have I with mine.it is mostly when I am starting a drying program, that she starts washing again. Then I :
  • turn the machine off
  • Wait 3-5 minutes
  • Turn on emptying
  • Wait 3-5 minutes
  • Turn on spinning
  • Wait 3-5 minutes
Try this way, turning the machine off, waiting and over to the programme you want.
good luck

Hoover vhd sensor dry 59 minute programme not working

"Rapid W&D 59 Min.
When you only have a few items to wash and dry in a hurry, this 59 minute cycle is the ideal time saver! Suitable for a light 1,5 kg load size (e.g. 4 shirts) or slightly dirty fabrics, this cycle will wash, rinse, spin and dry your garments in under an hour.
We recommend that you reduce the detergent dosage when using this programme to avoid wastage".
If the other cycles work without issue, it in not faulty.
Check the wash weight.

Hello! Have had combined washer/dryer V4380XOGB for past 15 years. Used only infrequently over the years (this is our holiday home). Washing programme works perfectly, but after using the drying programme...

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
You might have already done what follows - you do not mention a filter- but just in case ->
I would gently suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor/pump lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters and many machines will not even go to rinse or spin or release the door lock if there is any water still left inside.
Following are my complete and generic guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.

It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

How to release child lock in seimens washing machine that is wash and dry D12-52 1200 rpm

Child lock will deactivate only in the original programme that it was activated in. If you have forgotten the orginal programme, try deactivating separately in each programme.
To deactivate child lock press the clock key for 5 seconds.

I need an instruction manual for an Omega WD 1052 washer, please

I have searched everywhere as well, and no luck. I did find a bit of information on it which I have pasted below -- it might help a bit if you want to play around with it.
I would also suggest reading manuals from other wash/dryer machines to get an idea how they work--then maybe you can figure yours out by just pushing the different buttons and seeing what the display says. (At the end of this post, I have pasted a link to a different Omega washer/dryer -- perhaps you could skim it and see if it is at all similar to yours.)

Information About the Omega WD1052.2 washer dryer
THIRTEEN PROGRAMME:
The WD1052.2 is sequentially segmented into thirteen rotary positions for both easy and logical programme selection and for the quick identification of programme progression.

Choose from one of three wash sequences:
Programmes one through five are for the heavily soiled, more colour fast fabrics and daily wear.

Programmes six through to ten look after the slightly soiled, synthetics and for delicate items.

Woollens are exclusively washed on programmes eleven through to twelve.

CONDENSER DRYING:
The WD1052.2 can automatically dry a half a load of washing at the end of the wash programme provided the half load button is selected and a drying time is set on the centre control dial.

At any time the WD1052.2 can be regarded as an independent dryer, that is, a wash programme does not have to proceed into the drying stage. An example would be drying damp clothing or toweling from the bathroom. Simply choose a STOP position after either 5 or 10 on the programme dial. On the centre dial choose either full heat, the pink zone, or half heat, the green zone.

Another useful variation of the WD1052.2 is the ability to choose final spin only followed automatically by condenser drying. Having completed a hand wash, for instance, simply load the clothing and select final spin, 5 or 10 with the half load button selected and drying time set.

Whenever the WD1052.2 is in the drying mode the load can be easily accessed at any time via the porthole. The drying will automatically resume once the door is reshut.
