SOURCE: One of the top burner pilot lights will not stay

You probably have grease that has gotten into the pilot. Turn off the gas to the pilot and detach the pilot tubing and pilot tip. It sometimes helps to take a propane torch and heat up the pilot tip and tubing, paying special attention to the first bend from the pilot tip. Get it red hot and tap out any ash from the inside. You may have to **** out the tubing with a piece of bare wire or blow it out with WD-40. With the oven pilot, check the pilot flame. If low, adjust. If OK, replace the thermocouple. If neither of these corrects the problem, replace the pilot satety. I always recommend a new thermocouple with a new pilot safety.

SOURCE: Vulcan A1990 Model 60XL;

You need to replace the thermocouple for both sides of the oven. That is the most common issue with pilot lights and gas burners. The safety shut off will engage when it does not sense any heat, ie: thermocouples.

Vulcan oven pilot light how to relight

Hello Lynne,
To relight the pilots,start by removing the floor of the oven,then remove the small access panel below the doors. On the main oven burner will be a small pilot burner that probably looks something like this 10_26_2011_9_29_16_pm.jpg
on the gas valve behind that small panel under the doors will be a red button,push that red button and hold it in while lighting that pilot burner...continue tohold that red button for 30 seconds,release it and the pilot should be lit.
Good luck,GENE

Can't locate pilot on vulcan lg300

TO LIGHT THE PILOT
1.Open the door. 2. Turn the thermostat OFF The thermostat is located behind the door. 3. Push the gas control valve knob and turn to OFF. Wait 5 minutes for unburned gas to vent. 4. Push and turn gas control valve knob to the "L" in PILOT. 5. While still holding the knob in, light the pilot with a lit flame. Continue to depress the knob until pilot remains lit when knob is released. If the pilot does not remain lit, repeat step 3 through 5. 6. Depress and turn gas control knob to ON

I have an old Vulcan 6 burner commercial gas stove with a 24" griddle. The gas was turned off during a remodel. Now the gas is back on and the gas burners work fine but I cannot get the oven pilot light to...

Hi- This should have a gas Safety Valve, this is the main valve to the oven (this probably has 2). If you remove the lower panel under the doors they are probably right there. Looks like a large gas valve with a button on it, sometimes the button is red. You need to hold in that button while lighting the pilot and keep holding it in for a few seconds until the thermocouple gets hot enough to tell the valve to keep the pilot on. You'll have to do this for both ovens if there are 2 valves. It's possible the valves are located somewhere else on the range so you may have to hunt a bit. If the pilots still won't stay lit you may need new thermocouples in which case I'd call a Tech out to look at it. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Light pilot on Royal deep fryer. Pilot will not stay lit. Second fryer has larger pilot have no trouble keeping it lit. How can I adjust the pilot so that it will stay lit?

there is a small adjustment screw on the gas valve,turn it clockwise to increase pilot,if that does not work the vent cap on the gas regulator on the back of the unit could be stopped up,remove that cap ,clean out or replace unit can operate without it just fine.If you increase the pilot and it still wont stay lit replace the thermocouple

Oven pilot light will not stay lit

The thermocouple is bad this is the probe that sits next to the pilot,the pilot flame heats the thermocouple and then it sends a micro voltage to the valve to keep it lit.Goto hobartcorp.com and find your model then the part number.
