Question about Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate Edition
I have just built another liquid cooled gaming system but dont know what software will give me the most use of the hardware, most operating systems wont recognize the memory I have installed. I have an Asus M3N-HD/HDMI motherboard, an Athlon Phenom X49950 2.6 ghz quadcore 64 bit processor, 8 megs of Kingston ddr2 Hyper X memory, and a Geoforce 8800 XFX video card with 768 megs of ddr3 ram. 2 seagate barracuda sata hard drives 250gb ea with Koolance hard drive coolers on them. I want to run them in a raid 0 array mirrored.Ive installed it all in a Thermaltake Armor LCS full tower case with integral liquid cooling. Gaming is the hardest thing this system will have to do, everything else is cake. What OS will use the hardware to its fullest potential?
Either Windows XP or Vista 64 bit edition, depending on what you like...I won't get into the xp vs. vista battle here lol. The 64 bit operating systems can see all of your memory, with the 32 bit OS's, you're limited to around 3 or so gigs. Do note, that there may be some incompatibilities with a 64 bit operating system, though most programs should run fine.
