Question about Printers & Copiers

1 Answer

Canon PIXMA MP530 printer repeatedly getting LCD Error Message: "CHECK INK U071 5Bk". I have removed, reinstalled, reseated the 5Bk and all other ink tanks multiple times. Usually when this error occurs reseating the tank corrects the problem for at least one print job. Now I cannot get past this error. Though I bought this printer in October 2007 with the purchase of a new iMac computer, it was in the box until just a few weeks ago. I have printed probably no more than 30 to 40 pages on this printer. Earlier I also got these errors: Error Number : 1681 More than one ink tank of the following color is installed. "Black [5]" Use only one ink tank per color at a time. Error Number : 1411 Ink tank errors have occurred. Open the printer's cover and replace the ink tanks on which ink lamps are off. immediately followed by LCD error CHECK INK U150 5Bk I have also seen a U140 error. Again, in every case the ink tanks (5) were checked and found to be installed in the correct positions. These errors are now making the printer unusable. Please help.

I have a canon IP4500. The inks are at least half full and I get error 1411. How do you make the printer print a poxy piece of paper and stop the owner from smashing it into a thousand bits of *** plastic. Thank you.

Get error "Check Ink U140" after replacing cartridge with remanufactured cartridge.

I have a similar problem - Canon Prixma iP4500 and the new big black cart has the pink light failure repeatedly. Now the yellow cart 'needs replacing' (not) when its still half full.

If anyone from Canon is reading these  posts, please will they have the good sense to reply before we go to the press and bad mouth this printer ...

I have Canon M560 printer installed 8 months ago. I replaced the CLI 221 Magenta and CLI221 Cyan ink cartridges, won't work and got this message Error 1411. Tried repeatedly to reinstall the ink cartridges and still have this message coming back. Any solution you could offer? I would appreciate it. Thank you.

CHECK CARTRIDGE u052

Remove all ink tanks (printer is on), remove printer ink cartridge carrier head. clean head with alcohol wipes thoroughly, not contacts. Push in gently print cartridge pistons on cartridge carrier. Reseat print cartridge and ink tanks, replace any very low ink one's. turn off printer, unplug electrical, remove usb on printer and computer. plug all back in, turn on. Alarm and message should disappear. Clean and realign with software.

I haxe recently purchased a brand new canon mp530 that is still under warranty.I don't allways have the problem but often enough for it to be one.Adout 90% of the times I try to print I get an error...

I notice that you saw error message 'check ink c'. This means the printer want you to observe cyan ink cartridge. so,what happen before this message appears?. Please make sure that cyan ink is not empty. if you are sure the ink not empty, then remove cyan ink and reinstall it,else try dry clean ink cartridge contact or you may use contact cleaner before reinstall it. if you have have another cyan ink cartridge that is in good condition, compare it. if this works, means cyan ink cartridge is faulty then you need to replace with the new one. but if the problem still persist,it may caused by carriage unit or logic board problem.

Canon mp530 getting error message 6a00

HI Guys 6A00 error usually cant't be fixed according to the service centre, I was lucky and actually bought an extended warranty, the service centre said that the MP530 are a good printer and worth fixing as they don't see many at all compared to other models and other brands. There was a broken piece of hardware that something to do with the print carriage. cheers vailey

Canon Pixma MP530 no cartridge

Hi Cathy,

First, take the ink cartridge out and wipe the ink head with a tissue. If that dont work try to re-install your printer drivers that should reset your printer back.I hope this helps you.
