I need a replacement roller ring turntable support but brother no longer supplies spare parts. Can you suggest alteratives or a spares supplier.

    Thank you for replying!

My roller ring is broken and beyond repair.

The rollers are 21mm diameter (13/16") and the working diameter is 240mm inside and 250mm outside. Their is no connection with the motor shaft. If I could find a ring of a similar diameter it would help but many suppliers do not give the dimensions.

Do you still have the old one?

If it's the type that's a ring with wheels and it does not directly touch the turntable motor coupler / shaft, then many types from other brands will probably work.

Is yours missing, or are the wheels worn out?

I would suggest that you contact Martin Microwave.

What I would do is call or fax them the details and then call to follow up.

E-mail is easier, but sadly, some companies just ignore e-mail. A piece of paper (fax) or a phone call is a little hard to ignore.

But you may have to stress that you're looking for a "suitable" replacement, not necessarily an exact match.

Good luck!

I have a Panasonic Dimension 4 Genius microwave and the turntable no longer works. Is this fan belt operated and where can I get one if broken?

1) Microwave ovens are usually not user servicable, so even if you're a true Mr. Fix-It, it might be mission impossible to get spare parts.
2) Microwave ovens aren't that expensive, so a replacement might not be that much more expensive than trying to get your current model repaired.
3) Do you REALLY NEED the disc to turn??? It's all for show, it doesn't do anything to whatever you're trying to microwave.

I have a MTG06 combination microwave oven and grill that i purchased from tesco. i broke the glass turntable and need a replacement, where can i get one other than from tesco Thanks

If you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, I think you will be pleasantly surprised as usually one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, list of Dealers for spare part supplies as required.

The information is normally free of charge.

I hope this helps

Rotating Glass Broke

The only fix is to buy a replacement glass turntable. With really cheap microwave ovens it's usually cheaper to buy a new oven.

As you haven't stated a make and model, nor stated which country you are in, I cannot suggest a supplier. For major brands, spare parts tend to start becoming scarce about six to seven years after production of the model has been discontinued. For the lesser brands that nobody has ever heard of, spare parts generally aren't available at all.

Turntable not rotating on my microwave

The first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again. If that doesn't work, leave it unplugged for about 5 minutes. You can download your owner's manual here: http://www.miele.co.uk/Resources/OperatingInstructions/M%20625%20EG.pdf On the last page it has the contact information for various countries. You can locate servicers or spare parts. The turntable system consists of the motor, the coupler, the turntable support with rollers, and the tray. You can see and hear a video of how a turntable motor should sound when you rotate it by hand: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPSWi_z7M58 If yours is not set to be off via the control panel, and it won't rotate or it sounds like it's grinding, etc., you may have a bad motor or plastic coupler. Start button intermittent eg press many times (maybe 20) to start

Problem identified as plastic pushbutton on control panel, solution: interchanged with turntable on/off button (nevrer used). Had paid Miele €115 call out (for person who knew nothing about microwaves), Miele operate a closed shop. Local repair service say Miele will not supply parts, Miele designated repair agent will not repair microwaves, Miele will only send "engineer" to customer, no drop off facility. Was forced into buying new microwave oven from Miele as only way of recouping callout charge. Subsequently had a go myself with above positive positive result - now have a spare microwave cooker.

Turntable shaft

In case some local appliance shops or appliance parts stores may have one setting duty on the shelf, the part number was 58001050.

Do you still have the old part? Can you post a photo of it?

J.B. Weld brand epoxy might fix it, if applied sparingly... you may have to get creative...

You can check eBay or Wal-Mart and other stores to see if they have a Rubbermaid or Nordic Ware (NordicWare) wind-up turntable like this "Micro-Go-Round". (I've seen them at Wal-Mart recently). It's shown below.

If you find one, you can plug the shaft hole with a rubber plug from the hardware store and use this.

Good luck!

Turntable roller rest

It's called either the turntable coupler or the turntable support, depending on your model number. You can visit the Sears parts Web site at http://www3.sears.com/ and enter your full model number and see exploded view diagrams, parts lists, and order the part. Or you can call Sears parts at 1-800-252-1698.
