Question about EliteGroup RS482-M754 Motherboard
Error Message Reads: Warning CPU Freqency needs resetting in CMOS
page describes my CPU as AMD Athlon 3500+
Having looked in the BIOS the Frequency is set at Startup I have tried resetting to 2200 but this makes no difference as I still get the same error message.
Reset the bios jumper on the board. Use your manual, go to the bottom of page 9. Please unplug the power cord from the PC.
Clear the cmos/ bios & remove the bios battery as well. (You may use a small flat tip screw driver to help lift the battery out). If you have a voltage meter check the battery for 3volts DC. (If you have a voltage meter suggest you check the battery for 3volts DC while its out).
Re-place the bios battery & reset the bios jumper back to Normal. Re-connect the power cord to the PC. Boot the system & enter the bios menu. Adjust all your setting as needed.
(DO Not over-clock anything)!
If you still receive an error message your only other option would be to flash the bios. Even if you have the latest bios software already installed. The current bios software may be corrupt.
Good luck Chris!
