Question about Canon LV 7325 Multimedia Projector

Open Question

Projector starts, runs for 2-3 minutes, shuts down

My projector starts up the lamp, then goes through its startup routine (counts down from 30 to 0), and runs for 2-3 minutes but then turns the lamp off. The fan continues to run for 2-3 minutes, then the READY L.E.D illuminates. The LAMP L.E.D stays on the whole time.
Could it be a lamp temperature sensor, or something?

My LV 7325 over the past 3 days has done a very similar thing, mine starts for 15 seconds and shuts down with the cooling fans staying on for 30 to 40 seconds. I have cleaned out all the dust filters etc. It was working fine until 2 days ago. No idea what the problem is...

SOURCE: Projector does not turn ON

try removing the lamp, usually quite easy, you need to find the door for the lamp. lamps are customer replaceable, usually. If the lamp is bad you can usually see it damaged in the lamp. kind of like you might be able to see the broken filament in your normale house hold light bulb. good luck.

Projector restarts after 30 minutes or so

Hi jamble77

This sounds like a faulty Ballast ( lamp's powersupply ) if it made a grinding noise and now the Projector shuts on and off intermittently.

I would advise you to rather have the part replaced than repaired , as in most cases the Ballast almost always returns with the same problem if repaired a couple of months down the line.

Dell 3200 Projector

Hi Tara

This normally indicates that the lamp will need replacement.

The Ibook and this Projector are compatible as long as you run a Microsoft operating system i.e. Windows 98' and higher.

When replacing the lamp , you can just as well clean out the Projector - this is quite important as it prolongs the life of your lamp.

Projector shuts down after only a few minutes.

I'm having the same problem. My Model is PB8253. Projector started, then afer a couple minutes it goes off with the red lamp led flashing.
Just replaced the lamp, but the problem persists. Tried to remove all connecting cables, except for the power, but still the same problem.

Hp projector

This is caused by the color wheel sensor failure. The sensor is mounted very near the lamp and suffered extreme temperature. This problem can be corrected by installing the redesigned color wheel sensor. You also need to refocus the sensor due to different focal length. HP also recommended to replace the temp sensor cable. If you still have the projector, I can fix the problem for you.
