Question about Toshiba Satellite A205-S4617 Notebook
The common mistake made when repairing toshiba laptops is forgeting to remove the battery. If you forget this it can cause the problem you are describing. And this has happened to me before (it was not my laptop and I was lucky to figure a possible solution to the problem. Remove the battery and disconnect the power supply (if you are up to finding and removing the cmos battery it might take less time) then leave it a few day with out power this sould reset the bios and restore setting and hopefull solve your problem.
