Pump runs for about 1/2 hour stops starts in a few minutes and stops again and again

Could be a bad electrical connection or if the pump is running really hot due to being tight , blocked or mechanical failure, it may be overheating and cutting out. When it cools down, it will try to start again. Check that there is no foreign objects stuck in it such as hair, lint etc.

Oscillating drum sander runs a few minutes and stops

This usually occurs if the motor is overheating and the internal circuit breaker is tripping. After it cools down, it self resets. This can be caused by bad bearings or parts dragging the motor down, making it work hard enough to over heat and trip the breaker. If you are running it on an extension cord or circuit that isn't able to provide it with the amps it needs the motor will overheat and trip the breaker also.

My 1997 dodge neon sohc is overheating while ideling but goes back to normal when running the fans are running even when ideling and there is anti freeze

So the car only overheats at idle? How many miles on the car? What fan are you referring to - the heater fan or the cooling fan for the radiator? It sounds like you may have a plugged up radiator. If the engine has high mileage the radiator may have accumulated enough junk over the years to become restricted. Some automotive technicians have a laser that they can use to check the radiator for cool spots, which would indicate internal blockage.

Your laptop is overheating, and it is shutting down to prevent it from more damage. I'm sure it is the CPU that is overheating as you mention burning, or using power hungry application will make the cpu to work harder, and increase in temp. There is a tjmax setting on the cpu that limits at a temperature when reach and shut down to prevent it from overheating. You may need to do some cleaning by blowing off the dust on the exhaust port, or even taking your computer apart and reapply your cpu/heatisink with new termal paste. Before this, check if your fan is working, and that your laptop is getting proper airflow from the bottom, you might need to get a usb cooling fan to help cool it down better in the future. I recommend not using this laptop much or long anymore as it will eventually become overheated and damaged.
