If you are using the same brand of phone, you might be able to use the phone manufacturer's software to transfer the numbers. If using different brands, you may have to enter the numbers individually.

I have photo's in my phone that i don't want to lose as i'm thinking of getting another phone just brought a memory card but can't transfer from phone to card .

while entering contacts from an old phone to a new phone ( both phones complete with sim cards , after the second contact I found that the contacts were transferred from old to new , so I only had to enter one contact and the lot were moved over
on that logic try moving the photos the same way using the photo icon and see if that works
or you can download the user manual for the phone and follow the instructions there

Can I use a sim card from an old phone and retain it's number in a Doro PhoneEasy 631?

Only if the old phone is of the same type as the new one. Meaning is it compatible with your carrier. You should be able to move your old number to the new phone if it has not been reassigned .

How do I move my number to another phone

You need to contact your service provider/carrier with whom the number is with. Tell them you want to "port the number across". They will need the number of the new phone, which will carry on working with that number for a few days. They will give you a date for the "port across" and then the new phone will will have the number you have requested to be moved over and the old phone will cease to work until a new SIM card is inserted. At least that is the way it works in the UK, I have done it a few times and have had the same number for a few years on at least 4 different phones.

I transferred all the phone numbers from my old sony ericsson cell phone to my sim card, but cannot figure out how to copy all the sim numbers onto my new sony ericsson vivas pro.

To transfer your contacts through the SIM card:
  1. Copy your contacts from your old phone to your SIM card. If you need help with this, please consult the old phone user guide.
  2. When the copying is done, move the SIM card to your new phone.
  3. Select Menu > Contacts.
  4. If the phone asks you to copy info from the SIM card, skip steps 5-10.
  5. Otherwise, tap Options > Settings > Contacts to display.
  6. Select SIM memory > OK, then tap Back.
  7. Tap Options > Mark/Unmark > Mark all.
  8. Tap Options > Copy > Phone memory.
  9. Tap Options > Settings > Contacts to display.
  10. Select Phone memory > OK, then tap Back.

Move numbers to my new phone without reentering the numbers

Not a problem. Follow the following process to do it.

1. Copy all your contacts/numbers from your old phone memory into the sim card memory.
2. Turn off the phone and take the sim card out.
3. Insert the sim card into your new phone and copy the contacts/numbers from sim card to phone memory.

Hope it helps for you.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thanks !!

Messages can't be put on SIM cards. Depending on how many you've got to keep, the easiest way is to send them to your new phone (new number), or to a friends phone, then resend them to your new phone (old number) Or copy them to your PC via PC Suite, then download them to your phone. Although you might get a problem or two doing it this way.

Phone number

AT&T are definitely the ones to talk to. Apple can't help at all with phone numbers.

Call AT&T and emphasize that you're a good, long, loyal customer. They need to help you do this.
