Question about Danby 22 in. DDW396 Free-standing Dishwasher
my DDW399W Danby suddenly doesn't hold the power button in place once pushed in. The button moves back a little, and the washer powers down. The washer's still functional when I hold the button pushed.
Could it be the button mechanics that broke? If yes, what part do I need to replace?
In another power light related solution earlier, you said we need to remove all T-20 screws to gain access behind the button cover. Do you mean to loosen and take out the entire stainless steel portion inside the washer?
Thanks for your help, Michael
I know your post is a bit old. I solved this by opening the outer shell and removing all screws attaching the control panel. The power switch needs to be replaced. I looked everywhere (including radio shack and lowes) but sears parts department is the best!
This should be the link of a diagram and info on the parts. They have just about every screw and bolt you need to repair you Danby. Also they have diagrams to show how it is all put together!
