Question about Panasonic KX-T7730 Corded Phone
MY OFFICE PHONE RINGS AND ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE PHONE WORKS. ALL THE OTHER PHONES IN THE OFFICE WORKS.
BUT, I HAVE NO DIAL TONE OR CANNOT HEAR ANYTHING ON MY HANDSET OR THE SPEAKERPHONE??
Since an Analog Pana phone uses two pairs, swap phones completely with someone else. If the phone you had works somewhere else and the phone you borrowed does not, it's a wiring issue.
The phones light up because the data to make the display and lights travel on the second (black/yellor or orange) pairs of the jack (pins 2&5). The voice is on the first (pins 3&4) pair.
If the phone is bad, it's bad, but I'm guessing your missing a wire on the red or green lead of the phone jack, either from a bad base cord, or a bad jack.
