PRINTER WILL NOT PRINT HAVE CHECKED IT ALL. The service tech OHMS was helping me and we got the computer and printer disconnected and then the tech support person disappreared and I am stuck in nowhe



The printer was green and would not print and then today the ornge light goes on three times and then off and then again. I have checked the cartridges and took them into the store and they are full. The the tech told me to disconnect the monitor on the floor from the printer and turn the printer off. This is where I am now after being cutoff from the tech OHMS. Please finish thie job for me because I am using my credit card for this service.

Resetting the Printer By resetting the printer'spower, the print bufferis cleared and certain sensors are reset. Ifthere is invalid data inthe buffer, or sensors are stuck in aparticular mode; errors may occur.Follow these steps to reset the printer:

  1. Turn the printer off with the Power button (if available).

  2. Disconnect the data cable from the printer (not applicable to WiFi, Bluetooth or Infrared) .

  3. Unplugthe printer's power cord for approximately 10minutes, and then plug itback in. If troubleshooting a communicationissue, reconnect the datacable (not applicable to WiFi, Bluetooth orInfrared).

  4. Turn the printer back on.

Installed HP deskjet 890c printer to new windows 7 laptop - purchased new usb printer cable - will not print from laptop but will print test page from printer


Before we conclude that cable is faulty, we have few things that need to be checked.

  • In the device manager check for "Other Devices" and expand it, you may see an device with exclamation sign on it. Right click and uninstall the device.
  • Disconnect the printer USB and reconnect it back.
  • Windows 7 detects the hardware and automatically installs the correct driver.
Note: When you connect the USB cable to the printer, and then to the computer, Windows 7 activates Windows Update. Windows Update searches online for the most recent product driver on the Windows Update site. If the online driver is more recent than the driver stored in Windows 7, the computer downloads and installs the updated driver.The Windows Update process takes place automatically. Therefore, you might not notice that the process is in progress.
If you dont see any notification on connecting the printer, try plugging to different USB port.
If non if these works, replace the cable.

An error message reads printer cannot communicate with this computer. I have checked the firewaall, the installation and it makes copies so its a connection problem


A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer. Reboot your pc. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer. Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection.


If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

1. Disconnect the printer from your computer.

2. Rebrick (pull out power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds).

2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.

3. Delete the Lexmark print object.

4. Reboot your pc.

5. When your pc turns on, reconnect the printer.

6. Wait until your pc fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list, then try to print/scan again.

Every time I try to print a screen comes up that says communication problem, I have checked everything and I cannot get it to print please

Everytime I print there is un usual text that eppear in the upper left corner of my print out paper.. The error shows like this; @EJL 1284.4 @EJL


When a printer prints garbage, it usually indicates a faulty cable or a loose connection. Power OFF your printer and computer. Disconnect and reconnect the cable on the printer and computer. Once the cable has been reconnected, power the printer and computer back ON.
If you are still getting the error, take the cable and printer to another computer and it works fine, have your computer's port checked. If it still gives you garbage from another computer, have the printer taken in to be serviced.

Computer tell me that my printer is not hook up


If its a USB printer, uninstall the software and disconnect the printer. Then reinstall software while printer is disconnected. The software will instruct you on when to connect the printer or just wait until the software is finished installing then connect the printer.

Check dependency services on Print Spooler
================================
1.Click "Start", input "services.msc" (without quotation marks) to Start Search bar and press "Enter".
2.Double click the “Print Spooler” service.
3.Choose “Dependencies” Tab and remember the services name.
4.In the service list window, find the dependency services and try to start them.
5.Please try to start the “Print Spooler” service again.

PRINTER NOT ABLE TO PRINT

These error codes indicate that the product has an internal condition. Solution one: Reset the product Use the instructions below to resolve the issue by restarting the product.
  1. Disconnect the Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable from the back of the product, but leave the product turned on.
  2. Open the cover of the product and remove the print cartridges.
  3. Close the cover and wait for the Insert Ink Cartridges message to display.
  4. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product and wait for one minute.
  5. Reconnect the power cord. If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button.
  6. Open the cover and reinsert the print cartridges.
  7. Close the cover. If prompted, print a calibration page.
  8. Reconnect the USB cable, and try to print a print job from the computer.
Solution two: Service the product If you have completed all the steps listed above and are still experiencing a problem, service the product.

PSC 1510xi printer,Cannot print with my computer


Have you checked to make sure your printer is not set to be in 'offline mode'? Go to your start menu, then the control panel in windows, then printers, then right click and see if 'use printer offline' is checked. If it is, uncheck it.
Did you also turn the printer off and back on? You mentioned you disconnected the printer from the computer but didn't mention about unplugging it. If you haven't unplugged it, that would be the next step.
