All of the sudden, my Honeywell zone valve opens all the time even with thermostat lowered.

Have you checked to see if you are getting a power call from the thermostat to the valve? Possible Zone valve stuck open. Pull wire off valve to see if valve closes if not then valve is bad. If valve closes then you need to check to see if you have a wire shorted over from power supplied from stat> If supply wire to valve from stat is making contact with power wire supplied to stat this will keep valve open all the time.

How do i connect a standard room stat to my combi boiler

Honeywell stats, esp the rounds ones, have multiple wiring diagrams that come with them including those for radiant which is a boiler hookup.
The stat has to go through the zone controller as your combi has a P1 zone priority set for the water heater and other P2-P? zones for heating loops. TACO will help you with this but it'd be really cool not to be so cheap you don't call a Tech for a Service Call to do a professional's job.

Honeywell l641a1005 schematic

The boiler frame should have an EARTH ground. Everything in the system uses the frame for all the needed grounds. A wire from anywhere on the frame to a good connection on a water line is normally what is used when the boiler is installed.

Hi, I have a baxi solo boiler WM60/4RS and a Landis & Gyr RWB252 timer but my Honeywell T6160 thermostat has nether been connected, can anybody shed light on the wiring connections please.

The color code for thermostat wiring is as follows.
The "R" terminal is power into the stat from the boiler control transformer. Normally 24 volts. The "Y" terminal is for cooling. Normally left blank for a boiler. The "W" terminal is for heat. This one used to start the heating cycle. The "G" terminal is for fan operation. Probably not used for a boiler. Check the boiler terminal board for these functions and write down the wire color on each one. Match the boiler colors to the right function on the stat. If you need more than this, let me know.

IVE GOT A HONEYWELL T87A 3 WIRE THERMOSTAT MOUNTED ON THE WALL AND WHEN I WANT TO TURN ON MY HOT WATER BOILER I HAVE TO LOWER THE T-STAT SETTING INSTEAD OF INCREASING IT TO GET THE HEATING SYSTEM TO TURN...

I would switch to a two wire heating only stat It sounds to me like they have the boiler wired into cooling side. Do you also have to set switch on your t-stat to cooling or leave it on heating. Just curious. I would still go with two wire stat. Thanks.

Temperature fluctuates

Actually that thermostat is adjustable for only +/- 1 degree. I would make sure it is located close to a radiator/register, whichever you have, to help close that 8 degree variance. The thing about hot water heat is that even when the boiler shuts down those radiators are still putting off heat, so the temp can still shoot up a few more degrees after the stat has been satisfied. Is the boiler shutting down when the stat hits 71* ? If not then the stat may be bad. Honeywell carries a 5 year replacement warranty on that stat. I use the Honeywell Focus stats in almost all my installations. They are a very dependable thermostat. Feel free to ask anything else that will help solve your problem...Rob

Require room thermostat for ferroli combi boiler optimax 25c . I have a honeywell at the moment which stopped working. it has two wires coming into it from the boiler

Get a Ferroli wireless programmable room stat. City plumbing supplies can get hold of them but you'd be looking at approx £130. Part number 30800009. No wiring involved, the receiver connects to the boiler pcb. Had same problem but now fine.
