This irom leaks fom everywhere, sitting,ironing and allmost every angle it is held. Does the sunbeam have an E-mail address that may repair or replace this bad appliance? Thanks ... David
My model 4214 leaks too, even when not overfilled. It apperas there are two or three oval shaped rubber/vinyl plus in the base and one is missing. There is commercial iron cleaner, but you can use white vinegar and distilled water to flush it. I would use a mixture of half and half. Then let it steam its little self, when it is clear, rinse with the distilled water again, This kind of thing happens when you use tap water and let it sit in it without rinsing after using. I always use distilled water and empty right away after use. Good luck
if the the iron is still in valid warranty time,ask the seller to change a new one or repair it for you i think! Or you can change a vertical type iron to instead !And it won`t leak,iron effect is better than the traditional iron !
