Question about Panasonic PT-47WX51 47" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

Used TV; new to me

Two problems: 1) the viewing screen is not sized properly so anything at the bottom of the screen (words) or top (heads) are cut off. Not sure how to resize the screen to "actual".

2) There is now a big black box appearing in the middle of my screen. The true picture looks like a frame around this big black box. I might have done something on the remote, but not sure how to fix.

Type in PT-47WX51 manual in your search bar and there is an online manual from fixya. It will take you through setting up your tv.

The picture is too big for the screen. how can i make the picture match my screen size?

Posting the model number would make a response more valid but you need to go through the main menu selection and check to see if you can alter screen resolution or geometry there. Most sets offer different views such as 'Panorama,' 'Full screen,' etc.

I can't get the zoom to decrease on my tv. is it a problem with the tv, or the cable box?

This is the TV. Look for an aspect ratio or picture size or other wording button on the TV's remote control and READ your TV owner's manual. John
