Re: Replace Bluetooth Module

I couldn't find the exact procedure for your exact model, but I did find something close in your product Class. The following document is for a Portege R200. This should walk you through the basic dismantling of the laptop. IT will give general instructions about unscrewing the case, taking out components, removing the keyboard, and getting access to the part of the motherboard that holds the bluetooth module. You'll know what part to replace as it will look the exact same as the new part that you have. Once you have access to the part, unhook the old antenna and un-clip the old chip from the board. Then just reverse the procedure for the new chip.

Hi I purchased a tablet on line. I received it just the day before yesterday and noticed that a couple of keys on the key board don't work. The tablet seems fine. What do I do. Very disappoint

What make and model of tablet is it that you have the problem with? Is the keyboard Bluetooth or USB or direct-connect? What keys aren't working vs keys that are working? You have to supply some minimal information to help us help you. If it is a Bluetooth keyboard, make sure it's battery is charged.

Broken screen

There is no replacement screen commercially available.

Recomend returning the unit to Best Buy for a different unit if you purchased the protection plan.

Knee pressed on screen but not broken. Few letters smeared.

You may try rebooting it, but it will most likely not work. The screen doesn't have to be broken in the most common sense to be faulty. If you still have your warranty, then just replace it. As there really aren't any parts sold separately, you won't be able to replace it by yourself anyways and you have to replace it either way if you don't want a faulty screen.

I have a tx1410 touchscreen hp laptop I have a black screen when i turn on my computer and all the buttons are lighting up. Everything works but the black screen. I put a dvd disk to boot it up and then...

First you need to check if you did not have any flash drive or device attached to your laptop when you turned it off. Because if you do, your system will not booth completely, you will only be having a black screen, and to solve that, you just remove your battery and insert in back then try to turn it on.

Ensure you have the battery fully charged. Then turn it on. If that does not help, then the problem could be a hardware problem, which could be that the module is faulty and the screen is not lighting up or the hard disk is disconnected or the RAM is not connected properly.

The module is like the flex on the laptop that assists the information from the motherboard be read on the screen. So if it is faulty then you will not be able to see anything.

For that, you need to open it up and replace the module. If it is the hard disk, just tighten the connection and the RAM too, then try to couple it back together and turn it on.

Try to hold down control+alt+delete to see if the task manager comes up, if it does, then you know it is not the module, then you select task manager and run an operating system disk, to format your hard drive and run a new operating system.

These are a list of most likely problems that can affect the screen of your laptop.

If you are not familiar with such technical activity (loosening the laptop), i will strongly advice you seek technical assistance from a professional, to avoid shock or further damage in the unit.

Take care and good luck
