Check the following :

1. when you switch on the TV will you get any burnt smell near TV,will it try to on or will it make any hissing sound .

if there is any hissing sound there may be some short circuit happening inside ..
if it doesnt tries to on then the powr supply might not be coming to the screen or the CRT might have got damaged ..,, if this is the case then CRT must be replaced ...

if the power is not coming to the screen then there may be some problem in the transformer or due to some short circuiting some of the component might have burnt you need to identify that and replace that ... this solves your problem ..

thank you
regards

How to connect tv to pc

To connect a pc to a tv the tv must be able to understand the signal coming from the pc. With most modern tv's you usually have a choice of inputs; composite, s-video, DVI, HDMI to name a few. Most pc's on the other hand only have a vga output which is not compatible with tv. If this is the case you will need to install a video card that supplies a signal your tv will accept. In the past I've used an ATI all-in-wonder-pro (which not only supplies various video signals but allows your pc to capture video as well as watch and capture tv with a built in tv tuner). ATI has been around a long time but nowdays there are these kinds of cards coming out almost everyday.

Video comes from external device to TV - OUT on device and IN on TV.

Need the remote code for a phillips dvd player

These are the codes printed in the owners manual for your dvd/vcr player. If they do not work you will have to contact Emerson and ask them for help getting the code. The contact number should have come with the instructions for the remote. Just give them the model number of you remote and the units model number and they should be able to help you. I hope this information helps you with your problem. Switch the input selector on your TV to an appropriate external input channel (usually near channel 0).
Press a button on the TV’s original remote control that selects an external input channel until the DVD
recorder’s picture appears. Check your TV owner’s manual for details.

How come I can play video tapes on my sony video casette recorder, but can not record tv channels on my recorder?

i guess you havent connected it correctly.

Run your ariel int antenna (RF) in on the video recorder.

You will need another (RF) cable that connects from RF-out on the video recorder to antenna in on the tv.

put the tv onto channel AV (or video)

tune (scan) the TV channels on your video recorder.

NOW you will be able to record the channel you see it play on TV

hope this helps!

TV & DVD HookUp (No Box) Can't get picture

As far as I know, my Go Video machine when there was no box involved...

The cable came from the wall to the IN of the Go Video box. Then another cable coming from the OUT of the video box and to the IN to the TV. TV should be on channel 3. As far as I can remember, I don't need to push the TV/VCR button, but instead, have to channel down to below channel 2 on the TV to the LINE/INPUT selection. Once you go there, and the Go-Video machine is on, you should be able to see a clear picture.

You'll push the TV/VCR button if you want to toggle back and forth from the VCR picture to the TV picture (which will be technically blank since it's on the 'line input selection.)

Hope that helps.

GE 27GT613 tv. has no video button

Use the remote to tune to channel 00. THis will give you the component inputs. The channel up down buttons will skip it so you have to actually push 00 on the remote.

I INSTALLED MY ATI RAEDEON 128PCI VIDEO CARD AND IT HAS S VIDEO OUT AND COMES WITH THE SVIDEO TO RCA CABLE BUT I CANT GET THE IMAGE TO DISPLAY ON TV

The S-video to Composit adaptor tells me that you wish to connect to the Composit input of the TV

Connect the TV , set the TV to ( Composit input ) Composit 1 , or Composit 2 , NOT A CHANNEL

restart the computer , this will help the video card and software to detect that the TV is now on and connected.

When you come back to windows you should be prompted to perform the television setup wizard

if not

go to your display properties

Advanced tab

and manualy configure the video card for television output.

Only see a blue screen ...

Hi, The bluescreen is an indicator of "lack or absence of a video signal". In TV mode this would only come on if your reception quality is so poor that the TV "thinks" there is more interference/noise than intelligent video signal nd therefore mutes the video. In all other modes, (S Video, A/V Video etc), again, this muting action will result in the bluescreen if the TV "thinks" it is not receiving any video input. To try and fix this would either be: 1. Check and verify that you have a video signal coming into the TV by trying your video source (DVD, cable box) into another TV unit; or 2. Check and verify that your connectors at the back of the TV and the source are properly connected and are snug/fitted properly. If both fails, it is possible that you have component failure inside the TV and that would require the services of a qualified TV professional. Hope this be of help/idea. Post back how things turn up or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.
