Hey i do understand , it wld hurt ur pocket to buy unlock code....Let me tell u a way , u wld be able to download 2009 without code :)

Using this guide you will be able to update your Garmin GPS system to the latest (2009) map data, all you need is a little bit of patience and careful reading.
So let’s get started.
What do you need?

Once you have those files, follow the instructions below:
1) Download torrent, unzip the completed download to your desktop, open up the folder.
2) Go to Windows\Msi\ folder in the folder extracted and run CNNANT2009Update_ENU.msi if you want english language.
4) Select a directory to install or just leave it as the default and move on.
5) Once the installer is finished a Mapinstall icon should be on your desktop now. Run it.
6) Get Unit ID from your GPS device. Turn on unit, tap agree to pass agreement.
7) Tap: Settings –> Systems –> About See Unit ID: Write it down.
8.) Run the Key-generator
9) Put in the unit id (the # you got from your gps’s about screen) in the top box
10) Next, in the Select Map Product area of the keygen choose custom mapset and enter 325 when prompted

FID - 325

11) Now, click Generate at the bottom of the program & copy the Unlock Key generated at the bottom

Now to install the maps!
12) When you run Mapinstall it will tell you that your maps are locked, click on the unlock maps button
13) Now a new window will appear, click the Add button on the right side. Enter unlock key you copied from the keygen to the top box
14) Add the key and you will be prompt after 30 seconds of scanning for where you want to install the maps.
15) For an SD card, choose the drive. For the GPS, choose the GPS drive letter, mostly this is chosen automatically.
15 a.) If you don’t want to buy an SD card, you’ll have to remove your old maps from the GPS device. Plug in your GPS using the USB cord into your computer, open the device, and find a file named gmapprom in the folder named Garmin which will be the biggest file on your GPS at almost 1GB or somewhere around there. Backup this file to your desktop and save it in case something goes wrong, this file has all your old map data. After backing that file up delete it from the GPS.
16) You should now see a screen with the map of North America. Choose the areas you want on your GPS system, the selected areas will turn pink once clicked.
17) Finally click the Finish button. Now the process of building and transferring the maps will begin and this whole process takes about an hour.
Once done you will have the new 2009 maps on your GPS system

Hope u wld enjoy this :)

How to install Java games on the Samsung L700 without any software or drivers
(I've done this on a pc with Windows XP and don't know how well it would go on any other OS)

In the phone Menu select
'Settings'

Then select
'Phone settings'

Then
'USB settings'

And choose
'Ask on connection'

Plug the Phone in to the PC with the USB cable

On the phone selct
'Media player'

On the PC wait until it detects the phone and select
'Open the device to view files'

Open the folder
'Phone'

You should see the folders: images, Other files, Sounds, Videos

Create a new folder and name it
'Games'

Put any game you want to install in that 'Games' folder

Two things need to made sure of when copying over the games. Firstly make sure you have the *.jar and
*.jad files for each game, if you don't have the *.jad file, you can download a jad creator pretty easily, just type it in Google. Secondly each game has to be in it's own folder, if you just dump all the *.jar and *.jad files directly into the 'Games' folder only the first game installed will work (Poorly too).

Unplug the phone

Now on the phone dial the code:

*#6984125*#

Select 'Internals' (Number 4)
It will ask for a master key it is:

*#9072641*#

Select 'Storage settings' (Number 7)

Update Java DB (Number 2)

Now on the phone enter the code:

*#6984125*#

Select 'Internals' (Number 4)
It will ask for a master key it is:

The games should now be installed with no problems, I know it's bit repetitive but this has worked the best for me.

(Note: if you delete a game on your phone and then want to reinstall it later you will have to give that game a different folder name before you put it in the created Games folder. It won't allow that folder name again even though you've deleted it)

All these number-codes seem to work with my L700 and might offer some more possibilities fooling around with additional settings. Honestly I don't have a clue what all these additional settings are good for.
Unfortunately I couldn't get it to work via this strategy, because my pc won't offer me to "Open the device to view files" when connecting the phone to the pc.
Maybe someone of you is having more luck. Let me know!

Error when downloading map updates

Try using a different website where you can download the maps for free. These should work. If they don't, you might need a software update from the same web site before getting more maps: www8.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=010-00401-20

Cannot download from the disc to my garmin c330

Hi, bit confused.
If your using Disc's, then download is a different procedure.???
Assuming disc's
Just copy from the disc's , say off the desktop, you can put them on there to use it, then right click and copy the correct files,

Go to my computer, go to the nuvi drive, open up the nuvi folder, paste it to the correct folder, restart it.

If the maps are there, then tap menu, map info, tick boxes
serial needed and Unit I.D. to activate
unit I.D., menu-tools-system-about

If downloading, jack it to Pc, run download again,
Through your account @ Garmin.

Hope this helps

First, I'm rather surprised that you have 2009 map updates... it's still 2008.

Secondly, you may need to call GARMIN to talk to their tech support... they can straighten out this problem if you've already paid for the map update.

You should register your unit on GARMIN's website, it will speed the process.
