Canon IR 210S "Close the Lower Right Door" warning
My Canon IR 210S keeps displaying the "Close the Lower Right Door" message. I open and close but the display doesn't go away and it won't allow me to copy. Is there a sensor or switch that has broken? or a reset?
Thanks in advance for your advice!

Re: Canon IR 210S "Close the Lower Right Door" warning
Yes there is a sensor that most likely got knocked out of place. What you can do is to turn the copier off and disconnect the bottom 2 trays from the main body of the copier and turn it back on and just use the top 2 trays. You can change the trays lay out to what ever size you want, but make sure you change the BLUE DIAL to the correct size you want to use. I belive the sensor is toward the front of the copier right by the edge of the door, it may be knocked out of place or the flag on the door is broken off or one of the door pins are broken and the door is not closing correctly.... Good Luck..

Open that cover and close it using some force is quick and the costumer can do it also.
The perfect solution for a technician:
The machine detects the opening of the lower door on the left side
(under the manual tray) as a cover open. There is one sensor for paper
jam and cover open. If the lower right door is open, the
photointerruptor is free. If you close the right lower inner door, it is
blocked, and when it is closed, and there is a paper in this section
the sensor is free. Sometimes the edge of lower inner door doesn't makes
the sensor moving, insted of crushes up. Then a little amount of grease
can help you.
Open front door>turn down green handle>remove thumb screw on grey cover>slide out drum unit>unpack new drum>slide back into area where old drum was removed>reinsert thumb screw>lift green handle>close door.
Try to open and closed the front door several times,If the left cover and the front door are closed properly and still showing "close front door" most
probably the internal contact of door switch are not good , door switch replacement is needed
Are you sure you have the right toner??? It says it is for the IR-200-210 or dose it say IR-330 & IR- 400? If you look on the inside front door cover there are pictures showing how to install the toner, also there are pictures on the box the toner came in and also the display sceen will walk you through on how to replace the toner.. It slips in only one way and push down on it till it locks in then pull the blue tab till it displays "STOP" then push it back in and the push on the black part on the front of the developer unit to release the toner bottle and close the copier back up and lok the blue lever to the left and you are done. Good Luck
