Question about SimpleTech 250GB USB2.0 7200 RPM External 250 GB IDE Hard Drive
Hi.. well firstly your external hd does not require an autorun.inf file to function. autorun.inf files are used to instruct the computer to perform a certin task on connecting or inserting a a disc. This is used by software vendors to automatically run a setup program (or any app) so it will be user friends. basically you insert the disc and it runs automatically. A virus will use this method on external media like hd's and usb drives or flash drives to automatically execute themselves to infect the host system. There should not be a file as such on your ext hd. Thankfully your antivirus is doing its job :)
