In my case, the red light on the TOP of the mouse flashes for while, then the flashing stops, even though I'm continuing operations. Is this perhaps a very early warning that that the battery (batteries?) require replacement?

Or is a charger available from the manufacturer?

yep have same problem, when charging green lights go up as normal but then the red flashes. tried leaving revolution in charging docking bay all day but still only 1 green bar appeared on the mouse. not impressed as £50 mouse and started to have errors in under 1 year.

Mine does that from time to time as well. I am guessing it means the battery is getting old. Otherwise I start thinking a ghost in haunting my apartment and is using the mouse to get my attention.

SOURCE: flashing light

It depends on the mouse. Sometimes the red light flashes to signify the processing of a command. If it is continually flashing, then you may want to replace the battery.

SOURCE: red light flashing top of logitech wireless

The flashing light could be a reflection from the LED and mirror or laser on the bottom of the mouse. I had this similar problem and it drove me nuts until I happened to hold it up to a mirror and noticed the flashing was in sync bot top and bottom of the mouse.

SOURCE: Logitech mouse is'nt working

You might try re-syncing the mouse with the wireless sender. Push the button on the sender (plugged into usb port usually) and then push the button on the bottom of the mouse.

Red light flashing on my Logitech mouse? Does battery need replacement?

It could also be a problem with the remote that connects to your PC as well for that mouse.

First replace the batteries and see if it goes away. If not then take out the remote for the mouse and plug it back in and let windows redetect it again.

If it still doesn't work then you know the mouse itself is bad.

Logitech mouse blinks red after hanging battries

If this is a cordless Optical mouse it uses a red optical beam to sense the surface below it. This is how it moves the pointer. If this is the same mouse/keyboard combo I have it does not have any other lights on the mouse itself.

It is quite annoying when its dark in the room since the bottom is somewhat transparent.

Flashing red light

Most wireless mice will hibernate after a short period of inactivity. If something bumps the desk or moves the mouse it will start scanning again. If you don't like the light, you could try a laser mouse (no red LED flashing).
