If your Mac was working fine before the OS upgrade, try putting in more RAM. You may just have more OS than your machine can handle.

Wireless keyboard and putting computer screen content onto my TV screen

In theory, if the TV has an HDMI input, and your computer has the mini DisplayPort output, the only thing you might run into is resolution issues. Sometimes I've seen ghosting and other weird anomalies with computers plugged into TVs, but most of that was in the past. What resolution does your TV support? 720p, 1080p?

My Polaroid FLM-3232 does not display over air HDTV channels

There is no such thing as a 'digital antenna;' any antenna with sufficient gain and bandwidth will receive whatever signals there are available.
You may have to change the input source via your set's menu so it is looking at the antenna input; it may be set to cable currently.

37" Philips LCD no sound.

Maybe the antenna that you are using is not picking up sound from the channels. It could also be the cable. If it makes a humming noise, it means that the speakers are getting electric current and that they SHOULD be okay. It also could be your tuner. Maybe check it all out at some tech place like best buy. Those guys can help
