Switch to cool and set the temp higher. Problem is it will not let you set the heat temp above the cool setting because would cause a conflict if tstat is set to auto mode.

My Payne furnace is NOT producing the desired heat anymore. Any ideas?

Hello, it could be shutting down on it's high limit switch due to a dirty air filter, dirty blower wheel, weak blower motor. Usually this would cause the furnace to shut down before it reaches the desired temp.

My thermostat shows wrong numbers! Not possible temps but 5 to 20

Hi, your thermostat is reading celius instead of F.Degrees. There should be a switch under the cover or in the program for you to change back.

Furnace shutting on and off every four to five minutes all day

Have you had furnace cleaned? Have you changed filter or took filter out and try heater? Have you checked return grill to make sure you don't have anything in front of it. Return grill or duct could be blocked or two small. Blower motor could be going off on thermal overload. Does the heater do the same thing when it is 20 degrees outside. The other thing it could be is furnace is not big enough.
Good luck let me know what you find out

Heat pump auxiliary heat does not turn on

Turn up your outside thermostat in the outside unit.
You should have about 3 degrees difference in one stage to the next. So I would change the thermosat with one that has three stages of heat.
