Question about Samsung SPH-i700 Pocket PC
I bought the i700 off e-bay for my daughter's birthday. It worked fine for about a week. Now we can't get it off the screen alignment. I reset it and still nothing. Any suggestions.
When you first start the device, it asks you to tap the screen to begin. Tap the screen, do not hit any of the buttons. If it does not work, I'm sorry to say it will most likely be the touchscreen. As wonderful as the i700 is, it's still delicate technology. The touchscreen is a horrible repair to undertake, unless of course you happen to find a replacement on ebay. Replacement services are around $169. Doing it yourself is easy enough, save finding the parts. Another unit from ebay is a good bet. That's what I did. The repair is simple enough. In fact, you can find a video on Google video that shows you how to remove the screen. Good luck.
