Daewoo DVD recorder + VCR cannot remove symbol from screen

I have a Daewoo DVD recorder + VCR connected to the main TV in the house and a disk I have just bought has a choice of three languages. A symbol comes up on the screen, like a cine camera, with 1/3 (language one of three) and I can't get rid of it. It is part way up the screen and is really annoying. It doesn't come up on the TV in my sons room. Any ideas? Thanks. LJ Sorry I seem to have overwritten someone elses query - TruTech TT320 - with my Daewoo DVD problem.

Then you have to determine what machine is causing that, whether if it's the dvd player or the TV and use the process of elimination. Good luck.

DVD drawer will not open, has locked DVD in

I am assuming the electronic disengage button is not responding.
Exit programme and use a paperclip gently into the small hole in face of draw and it will trigger a manual release

Green screen

I had the same problem, my TV had two SCART inputs - when plugged into one the DVD played green, when plugged into the other, it played normally. Have you tried this?

My sugestion is to open the dvd player cover, then after you remove it the disc cover you screw out it to remove your disc.

Setting up DVD/VCR

Depends how you have connected to the TV.

You will need to set your TV to the relevant socket you have connected the DVD/VCR into.

S-Video, Component , composite etc

These will be EXT 1 , EXT 2 or AV 1, AV 2 etc.
