Maytag French Door Refrigerator not cooling

I read your solution about the fridge not cooling.  I opened the rear lower panel in back to see what's going on, and the fan that's visible, is running smooth.  Is this the Evaporator Fan Motor?  We had the EFM replaced 2 yrs  ago....  And are having the same issue.  I remember the  technician saying the parts and labor were under MFG warranty.  Do you have any suggestions??? Thanks  Housemom!

You have another fan under the ref in the rear that cools the condenser coils you should be able to put your hand in front of thr ref while it running at the bottom front and feel air blowing if not pull the rear cover off and see if the fan is running

My Maytag MFF2558VEM Bottom Freezer French Door Refrigerator doesn't keep cool

What you should be looking for is a blocked air flow. The fan in the freezer will push air up to the fridge and cool it off. Look for a dead fan motor in the freezer or a blocked air vent Good luck

Model # MFF2557HES Top refrigator section stoped cooling freezer is working

You may have Ice buildup in the freezer. You freezer has a fan in the bak that sends the cool air to the fridge. Your fridge dial determines how muh cold air comes from the freezer. Try defrosting the freezer. You may have to pull the back panel off of the inside of the freezer to get the ice thawed. The ice build up is likely causing the air to not get to the fridge. Hope it works.

Frost in freezer fridge warm

Sounds like the circulating fan behind the rear panel inside the freezer section is starting to go bad, This problem is very hard to diagnose because the fan still spins but at a much lower rate than needed to circulate chilled air thru the freezer and the frig. The minimum cost for parts and labor is around $300.00.

Problem seems to be solved. I unplugged it for a short time and plugged it back in. I'm guessing it needed to be re-set.

Amana French Door Refrigerator "on" but no cooling; freezer still works

There are 2 possible problems. One is the defrost cycle is not working properly this is usually indicated by a large amount of frost on the back freezer panel. If so, the circuit will have to be repaired and the evaperator thawed to remove the ice build up. The other is the fresh food damper is not working properly this is behind the "lump" in the back of the fridge compartment above the top shelf, remove the louver panel to see if it is open or closed. closed will be warm open should be cold. The water dispenser reservoir is probably frozen due to poor air circulation.
