Question about Microwave Ovens
I have an Amana RC17 microwave and after I use the unit the fan keeps running. I moved it to another kitchen and when I plugged it in the fan came on again for 2 minutes.
Neither the owner's manual nor the quick start guide for this model addresses that specifically, but most commercial microwaves do work this way to ensure proper cooling.
The manual does state that when you open the door then close it, thelight and fan will stay on for an unspecified period of time.
If the word "HOT" appears in the display, the magnetron is overheatedand the fan will run until the temperature is brought down.
If the fan fan NEVER shuts off, then there may be a stuck relay or defective sensor.
