Question about M-Audio MIDISport 2x2 MIDI Adapter

1 Answer

Not communicating... Hello my name is Collin Stoddard and I own a Midisport 2x2 (the little green one.) I am trying to connect it to my Yamaha disklavier and it has worked in past months, but now it's not working. I have MIDI cables going from MIDI out on the Yamaha, to the IN A port on the midisport box then attaching the USB cable. I have pushed the little black button on the box to activate the USB interface. I have the disklavier turned on and turned to MIDI mode, all of the channels coincide, and I just downloaded the newest driver for the 2x2. I'm trying to use it to communiate with Reason on my iBook G4. In my preferences window in Reason I have "midisport 2x2" selected as the driver, so I know it's reading it, it just won't send any signal. Any suggestions? Is this a midisport problem or a Yamaha piano problem, or a user error? thanks so much Collin Stoddard

Re: not communicating...

It would help a lot if you had another Midi device to try. Then you could narrow down the problem.

Another thing to try is to download some simple piece of Midi software such as Bome's Mouse keyboard (free 30-day evaluation) and see if you can get that to work (using your mouse on the screen keyboard to trigger notes on your MIDI keyboard). You may get further clues by trying that.

Hello I am getting to theGV-800 Geovision pag...

I am not sure what trouble shooting you have already done but a few of the basics are. cannot connect to your own Geo Web server within your own network, you will have to do it from outside. you can connect within if you use your internal ip address.
2.make sure your router is open for incoming and outgoing connections on ports 80, 4550, 5550.
3.Try connecting without the router if you have one.
4. Geovision works with internet explorer only, not Firefox,, try the DMmultview program that came on your software disk.
try those suggestions first

What spyware software did you run? Do you have the name of the software?

many spyware software available on the internet are actually viruses and malware.

Download the file combofix from the link below and run it on your system. This should remove all viruses and errors on your machine

Hi! I have msre206 but cannot function.

You must set the port in the MSR program to the port the MSR is plugged into.
If you don't know the port number. Then keep changing the port in the MSR program until the writer is

Their is more to it but the question you aked was pretty bleak.

Network connection says connected but receives nothing

We are using software called Brainware Columbus to do Remote OS Deployment, Software Deployment & Remote Support. We have had LANDesk installed on all our computers, and since we uninstalled LANDesk and installed McAfee 8.7i Enterprise, we have had some difficulties with some computers where they show they are connected to our Wired Lan, but their IP settings have dissappeared, the settings are blank. When you click on the repair option for the network, it gives an error straight away, and we have also tried Uninstalled & Reinstalling the NIC, that also doesnt solve the problem. Please help

Asus p5s-mx se motherboard

The unit goes in a spare 5 11/2" drive bay, same type as your DVD player/writer; it is held in place with screws provided.

The audio cable connects to the 'front panel audio pinout' on your motherboard or if it is a plug there should be a backside slot cover provided that has a hole in it. You pass the plug through this hole and plug it into your audio ports, the green hole.

The1394 cable is called Firewire and connects to the firewire pinout on your motherboard.

The USB cable connects to an unused USB pinout on your motherboard.

Do you need a map of your motherboard that shows where these are? They are labeled clearly. If you have never had your hands in a PC to connect things to your motherboard LET ME KNOW and I'll advise you on how to do this safely so you don't damage anything or yourself.

If you have any other questions I didn't cover JUST ASK ME by commenting below and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
