Hello roofmaster09, chances are you did everything correctly. Im not exaclty sure whats asking for a password. If your trying to access inside the router, you would want to follow these instructions.

http://www3.nohold.net/noHoldCust56/Prod_6/KnowledgePortal/KPScripts/amsviewer.asp?docid=81ebaf3ab1744a66a97f86b5940c24d5_KB3676_EN_070221_v1.xml&amsstatsid=4540297

If your having trouble getting online and both your router and modem are ok try these steps,

http://linksys.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/linksys.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=3686&lid=7775537401B02

If your still experenceing issues please post us back with more detail.
Good Luck,

No wireless internet.

Try to uninstall and reinstall the software. And wait until the install completes before doing anything else on the computer. You might also want to close all other programs before the install.

How do i paste a message that somebodt has asked me to put on my status

The best solution to this problem would simply be to copy and paste the text, hold a left mouse click at the end of the text and while still holding the click, move your mouse to the front of the text. Once the correct amount of text is highlighted, press CTRL and C at the same time (command and C if using a MAC) the go to your status as if you were to type something in and press CTRL and V (command and V if using a MAC. this should paste the highlighted text into your status, from then just post it and it should be complete

An error occurs during installation

The CD Setup wizard will fail to complete the installation or sometimes fail to run at all because antivirus, anti-spyware or PC firewall is blocking the installation process.

To ensure a successful installation from the CD Setup Wizard, make sure all security tools are temporarily disabled before the installation begins. Enable back the antivirus, anti-spyware or software firewall once the installation is completed.

NOTE: If setup still fails to complete, check that you have selected the correct operating system in the setup options. You may also try restarting the computer and reinstalling from the CD if the setup fails to complete the first time. If all else fails, try searching for your device model at http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/support/ and clicking on Get Downloads to download the latest firmware.

I have a Asus pentium4 desktop it calling for a recovery disk, the screen comes up system 32 put recover disk which I don't have.

The disk-drive that is storing your copy of Windows has died.

So, when you turn the computer on, the disk-drive cannot be accessed, and Windows cannot be loaded, and so your computer displays that "please insert recovery disk" message.

Minimally, you need to buy a new disk-drive, install it, order a new set of "system recovery" CD/DVD disks from ACER, and reinstall Windows.

It might be time for you to buy a brand-new computer, which will be faster, and will run Windows 7.
Your existing keyboard/mouse/monitor/printer devices can be used -- you can buy a "bare" system, with Windows 7 pre-installed, and save some money (over buying brand-new "everything").
