Dryer stopped working (by 2 users)

magic chef dryer (electric) stopped working,door light doesn't work. panel lights up. At last use dryer was on for 10 min, clothes came out exceptionally hot.

whirlpool dryer stopped working after finished drying one load, nothing seemed out of the ordinary, just didn't come on after the one load was done???? model #LEQ903PQO, did clean out the lint and everything else, I did check the light bulb on inside and was burnt out, haven't changed that yet, don't know what else to do???? please help!

Guruplumber, pop the top on the dryer by pushing on the two clips just under the top on each side. In the back you will see the heater. You want to check the high limit thermostat (this one sits on the top side of the heater) and the thermal fuse (sits on the side about 4 inches down. Unplug the dryer and check them with a meter. If either shows open (no continuity) replace them. Make sure your venting is not clogged up and the heater is not grounded or fractured. Part number for the high limit is 53-0771 and for the thermal fuse is LA-1053. Check these first...Catriver...post back.
