This unit is suggested for gaming.
Don't see anything pertaining to headphone output.
Most have them. If not run a set of RCA analog audio cables to a small amp and connect headset. or maybe if your running HDMI your Main audio system has a jack (most do)
Regardless if theunit has an audio out (and all do) you can run something.
Side note: take the output of the PS3 and run that to an amp with headphone capacity.
A multitude of ways to do it.
Need more info as to what you have to work with to give you a better informed answer.

How do I get volume on my Dell 2414H Monitor?

I believe this monitor does not have a built-in speaker. If you have the optional hang-on speaker, it must connect to the laptop's speaker/headphone port (speaker's green connector cable/plug). You cannot use the external speaker and the headphone at the same time unless you are using a Y connector cable.
This monitor has a VGA and a DVI-D ports for video input. Neither supports sound.
I hope this helps. Dell 24 Monitor P2414H

PS3 dosen't work on Samsung Sync Master 730bf

The Samsung 730BF is not HDCP compliant. This is a requirement for HDMI playback for consoles and DVD players etc. - most newer monitors with DVI connectors are also HDCP compliant.

Samsung syncmaster 275t won't start - what to do?

The Samsung monitor is okay, the problem is a compatability issue between the laptop and monitor. The VGA toDVI is the problem you are converting a analog signal to digital, the signal level degrades when that is attempted. If I understand this the laptop puts out the analog signal "VGA" and the monitor has the DVI input, "digital" The only other suggestion is turn off the laptop screen to see if the monitor will work.

What cables are needed to connect soyo dylm2286 so that monitor speaker works?

For the speakers to work on your monitor you need a unexpensive cable that has on each end the same type of connector: 3.5 mm stereo jack. It is the same type of jack as on e.g. headphones.
The cable must be connected between the green output jack from the PC to the similar connector on your monitor.

Please let me know if it helped.

Good luck!

I have a Samsung 940bw monitor. After pressing the auto button, it does not work anymore. Is there a problem about monitor or is it broken? I am waiting for your help. Thanks.

damnor01 here to the rescue!

Welcome to Fixya.

Since you pushed the Auto button it is possible that the monitor has changed the input type to a type other than that you are currently using.

For instance it may have chosen to accept VGA input however you have the DVI or HDMI connected.
To fix this you will have to push the auto button again, and possibly again to get it to find your current input channel.
You may need to turn your computer off and then back on again.

You may need to connect your monitor using a different connector, example via VGA, DVI or HDMI. It all depends on the connection you have at present.
Blue Connector is VGA.
White connector is DVI.
HDMI is very narrow conector usually black.

Thanking you

Yes, there is. It's actually fairly simple, but there is one problem you may run into. Before bothering to buy any of the adapters or try and set anything up, check your monitor's specs and be sure it's HDCP compliant. Without this little detail, a PS3 will not play on any screen.

Now once your sure your monitor is HDCP compliant, your going to need a few things.

First, your going to need an VGA to HDMI cord, or an DVI to HDMI cord. Your monitor uses both these connections, so feel free to go with whichever works for you. You can find cords like this for cheap on Amazon, and I can vouch for this one personally, I use it and it's not given me a bit of trouble.

Now, unless your using speakers that already hooked up to the monitor, your going to need an RCA to 3.5mm adapter (Your everyday headphone jack is a 3.5mm plug.) They are really cheap, and can be found all over the place. Amazon, your local electronics store, EBay, all have these little handy objects. I can again vouch for this one personally, and I love using it, so keep this little thing handy. (Think headphones, when you don't want to use speakers.) NOTE: Make sure you get a 2xRCA to 1x3.5mm adapter, check the link above to see a picture of what your looking for.

Now, once you have both these pieces, it's time to set up your connections.

Step 1. Plug the VGA/DVI to HDMI (Let's call this Video Cord), into your monitor and PS3.

Step 2. Plug the original cord that came with your PS3 into the console as well. This cord should have an end that plugs into a TV, with one each of a Yellow, Red, and White plug. These are RCA jacks.

Step 3. Now take your little RCA to 3.5mm adapter and plug the White and Red ends into it. Don't worry about the Yellow end, this is the video plug and you don't need it now that your using an HDMI connection.

Step 4. Plug your speakers into the 3.5mm plug on your adapter. Power on the speakers.

Step 5. Now turn on the Monitor first, and then PS3. You should see the screen come on, and the PS3 should be telling you it found an HDMI connection, and would you like to switch to it. Select Yes and press X.

Step 6. Now that you can see what's on your PS3, go into the settings section of the menu. Click down to the Sound Settings choice, near the bottom, and press X. Press X again to enter the Audio Output Settings. Click down to the Audio Input Connector/ SCART / AV MULTI choice, and the press -> on the D-pad. Now press X once more and your all set!

Now go back to the menu and move around a bit, you should hear the clicking sounds as you switch to a new item. Start up a game and enjoy the sounds and sights, because your finished.

Good luck and have fun, and please feel free to leave any comments or further questions you might have in the Comments. Feedback is always welcome.

I have got 2CH speakers idont know where to plug in to the CPU

There are usually 3 audio connectors on a sound card. For Line in, headphone/line out and microphone. The connectors maybe connected to the motherboard or there is a separate sound card.
These connectors are 2.5mm audio sockets - connect the speakers to the headphone/line out (usually green).
If you are not sure which connector to plug the speakers in, just start a audio CD and plug the speaker plug into each socket connector until you get music from the speakers. You will not damage anything if you plug the speakers in the wrong audio socket.

Screen turns on for a second then flashes off. Just saw a post that said this could be a capacitor problem. The Monitor is the 225bw not the 275t

It sounds like you have a monitor with a common problem. After a few years some LCD monitorswillblow a power supply. The problem is caused by parts called capacitorsoverheating in the confined space of the monitor. If you are good at electronics repair/soldering you can usually fix the problem. Check out a few pictures on my web site You can take the back cover off your monitor and look for the bad parts, replace any that look like the pictures and your monitor should work fine. You should find 5 bad capacitors. If you can take a picture or two of your board and email them to me I can tell you what to replace. The capacitors do need to be installed with the correct + and- connections, note the stripe on the old one and insert the new onethe same way. If you don't want to try the repair yourself we offer a repair service for $35 plus shipping.

I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.

Can't get sound through speakers/headphones

You need to connect the speaker wire coming from the monitor to your PS3 if you want the sound to come out of the monitor speaker. Normally, you need an adapter for this.
