Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

I have a Canon Printer MP620. I cannot get the printer head alignment to set up properly. In specific it is the lines F and G. They are continually offset no matter what i do. I can scan you the problem if you want.

Exactly the same problem here. Print is fine but out of alignment on A4 printing from left to right. Fields F and G on the print alignment schedule are out of whack as well. This is a very weird set up procedure for head alignment.

You need to perform the print head alignment from setup procedure, and chose the right alignment number after printing the pattern page.

Do the alignment procedure several times, and try to chose the right pattern.

If that does not work, then that means that the printer have a problem with the encoder strip that determine head position, in that case the encoder must be replaced.

Canon Pixma MP620 problem. It prints with a thick white lines going horizontally, so that the texts are faded out and not legible.

You probably need to run maintenance on the printer.
On the LCD do the following: (1)Select Settings on the HOME screen, and press the OK button. (2) Select Maintenance, and press the OK button. (3) Select Nozzle check pattern, and press the OK button. (4) Select Yes, and press the OK button. The nozzle check pattern will be printed and two pattern confirmation screens appear on the LCD.
This will tell you if the nozzles are out of alignment or not.Regardless you should not run the deep cleaning on the print heads. From the LCD do the following and make sure you have several sheets of paper in the printer;
(1) Select Settings on the HOME screen, and press the OK button. (2) Select Maintenance, and press the OK button. (3) Select Deep cleaning, and press the OK button. (4) Select Yes, and press the OK button. The machine starts cleaning the Print Head deeply. Do not perform any other operations until the machine completes the deep cleaning of the Print Head. This takes about 1 minute 30 seconds. (5) Select Yes, and press the OK button. The nozzle check pattern will be printed. (6) Check the nozzle check pattern. See Examining the Nozzle Check Pattern. - If a particular color is not printed properly, replace the ink tank of that color. See Replacing an Ink Tank. - If the problem is not resolved, turn off the power and clean the Print Head deeply again after 24 hours. - If the problem is still not resolved, the Print Head may be damaged. I have a MP640 that is printing photos with lines across it. The ink levels are fine.

make sure you choose the proper settings when printing. use the correct paper settings on printing, the paper may be hitting the head while printing. if these lines are gaps, you may need to clean your print head using the software of you printer. make sure you also align your printer head especially if you have new inks. this will ensure the printing is how its supposed to be.

I am installing an i860 printer and it will not align automatically nor print properly. How can I do the alignment manually?

You should have access to a set of utilities in your printer set-up panel. It's called 'Canon IJ set-up Utilitiy'
There is a complete list of jobs that can be done on this printer there.
It normally does the alignment routine when you first install the print-head and cartridges. Is this brand new or just new to you? If you have got it second-hand then logically it won't need an alignment doing unless the print-head has been changed.

Canon i455 not printing properly

(i posted this for someone before)

When you remove the black cartridge there will be electrical contacts inside the printer that lines up with some contacts on your cartridge, make sure these are clean

Also, according to this printers manual, have you tried a printer head align?

"(1) Open the Printer Properties dialog box. See Opening the Printer Properties dialog box directly from the Start menu
(2) Click the Maintenance tab.
(3) Click Print Head Alignment.
Follow the instructions on the screen."
