Question about Dell Alienware M14x Notebook
It is most probably your power pack I had this problem once with mine and it was a faulty power pack the power pack goes to something like 220w but will still run the main system it is only supposed to be around 140w

Remove main battery, get a stiff toothbrush and clean battery terminal in laptop and prongs on batteries. Install battery and charge, if no change! rechargeable battery needs to be replaced.
