Isert sim card
Hi nay,
there's simple solution, first, take out the sim card and battery, then put it back again, switch the phone on, the phone will ask you "do you want to stay in offline mode?", click no. then you'll have your network again, if the message don't came out, then there's some probabilities.
1. sim card connector.. see those yellow (look like gold coloured mostly) pins that usually beneath your sim card if you insert it? probably when it's fall, it's bent, so your sim card mght not be well attached to your sim card connector. raise the feet (pins) of the sim card connector, so it became higher. so that you make sure your sim card is touched by all the pins. replace the battery and sim card, switch on again. mostly will help. but if not, try below steps
2. probably There's something cracked or broken from the body of your phone (inside), so your phone become loosened up - mainly at the screws(your sim card become not well-attached), so what you have to do, is take a screwdriver for nokia, and strengthened the screws. If it can't, try borrow 6630 of your friend, try your board (machine board) to your friend's 6630 body. If it doesn't work, then it means something on your machine board (component) is broken, not because it's just loose.
If you doesn't have friend that use 6630 too, or you feel it's hard to open your phone, look closely if there's any major crack on the body of your phone, if it does. go to any mobile phone sparepart or accesories shop, buy a new body and ask them to cahnge it (actually piece of cake, try it..) well if it doesnt work, there's nothing to lose, because anyway if you want your phone fixed, you're not gonna use it with a cracked body. (differ body and casing)
3. If you're sure none of above helpful, then it means , some component is broken. Usually it comes to SIM card connector feet (that is attached to your machine board) or the sim card IC, some small possibility is you UEM IC is broken, but in this case, i suppose not.
your sim card connector feet (attached to machine board) might be not well attached (lifted up) caused by the crash when you fell your phone down. so it just need to be reattached by solder. you need a technician for these. if it doesn't help, your sim card IC need to be replaced by a new one (this IC SIM CARD is make of glass, so it's so fragile), leave it to the technician, this shouldn't cost more than 10-20 usd i promise ^^
Good luck with raising the pin (the one that touch your sim card-don't be confused) of your sim card connector. Mostly will help ^^
