HP PPavilion zv6000 notebook grinding fan

I think it's time for a new fan in my notebook. I can't afford a new book and I'm getting a lot of grinding. How do I replace the fan and get a quieter better running machine? I'm fairly certain I am way past my warranty so that's a non issue.
Oh, let me add, I don't even know how to get inside the machine so I need to know that too.

HP Dv8233cl fan grinding

You only need to replace the fan, not the heatsink assembly.
Your computer repairer can do it or you can do it yourself once you identify the size of the fan and buy a matching one. You may have to solder a new connector on the lead.

Hp laptop dv9500 noisy and loud fan ...

The sound you are hearing is probably the fan, This fan has a noisy bearing and will eventually lock up and the fan will stop spinning and therefore the CPU will overheat and shutdown.
The fan needs to be replaced.

HP ZV6000 Fan Making Noise

I had a similar problem on my zv6000, but I've tracked it down to the fan in the middle (not the one above the CPU with the heatsink).

For anyone else that doesn't feel like taking your laptop apart twice (once to get the part number and twice to put the new fan in after you get it online, etc.), the fan is a Sunon Maglev GC 056015VH-A. HP doesn't carry them in the parts store anymore, but I ordered mine online from an independent retailer.

Is this on battery or power supply?
If on AC power supply, then it sounds like a heat related issue.
Make sure you can hear the cooling fan running and you may need to blowe the dust out of it with a can of compressed air.
