KRX 793. What was the purpose of system control input?

System control was a method of joining individual system components into a common group. For example, you could connect a tape deck and a CD player to a receiver-amp and control the deck and player from the receiver-amp.

I have KRX 891 Kenwood Stereo system... The receiver just stopped working one day about 4 years ago... i found out that Radio Shack sells fuses, and i have asked in the past if it could be a fuse, but...

Karen, this may be an easy fix. There are a couple of screws on top of the unit and about 8 or 9 around the back edge. First make sure the unit is unplugged. Remove these screws andyou can lift the cover off. On the left side you will see 2 glass fuses. Gently pry these out and you will see they are marked on the end caps with voltage and amperage ratings. Replacements are very affordable at Radio shack. Good luck! B-) wayne2ears@gmail.com

How do you turn off standby on a kenwood krx-89 stereo

Hi, is the red light that says power On? If not, it could just be the fuse since I had the same problem. If you take the lid off, it should be in the left rear and is a 250v 6amp fuse. I had the same problem where only the standby light and the input lights were on. Neither the radio and cassette lights were on.
