Hi, check the setting of the TV, where you can see TV display and you will see two or three option of changing the TV mode(NTSC and PAL).it still on NTSC that is while it is sowing black and white. Switch it to PAL it will start showing co lour screen for you to enjoy the game.
you must have changed the pal version(if you are in pal territory)or ntsc to opposite ones this is a common problem try changing them to the original ones some tvs cannot support the opposite tv territory because of some technical problems so they go into black and white that is what happened
you can see pal or ntsc setings in the settings menu
if this helped you or you think that i spent some time to help you please rate helpful and rate this helped you
Your TV goes black & white, because your Wii could be NTSC or PAL which. If your Wii is PAL and your TV is NTSC then the TV will show a blac and white color. Since NTSC is for North America and PAL for Asia
I had the same problem with my Playstion2. I found that the playstion was givin an NTSC video output but the TV was only for PAL. try it on a TV that is PAL if your gamestation is PAL or on an NTSC tv if its NTSC. Does this help?
