My Mouse stopped working.

I plugged my mouse into a mac and it worked fine, then one day it stopped working. When i plugged it into my PC it didn't work as well. The mouse lights up but it doesn't move the cursor. My computer acknowledges the mouse but it doesn't respond.

SOURCE: my mouse will not move the cursor

Have you syncronized it with the receiver?
Normally you press a button on receiver then press another button on underside of mouse to sync it.

My dell mouse wm311 quit working. i got a new dell inspiron 15 laptop Saturday and the new mouse worked. the next day it wouldn't work. the batteries test fine. it is turned on but it won't work.

Your mouse has probably lost its pairing. There should be a button that puts the mouse into answer mode so that when the computer looks for it, the mouse will be found and paired. All you should have to do is get the computer up and running, then turn on the mouse and push the button that makes it answer. (Should be a power switch and then another push button switch that allows the mouse to respond to search queries from the computer.) Then after a few seconds try moving the mouse to determine if it was found. If not found, then try going to devices to make sure it is searching. The mouse should show up on the list of devices.

I have the Microsoft 5000 Bluetooth mouse and it auto pairs. But if I turn it off, it will lose pairing. Sometimes I forget that I didn't turn it off and it is not clear which position of that tiny power switch is the ON, but when I push on the answer button, a light turns on to let me know that power is on. If the mouse is found or if it can't pair, the light goes off so the only way to tell that it is paired is to see it move the mouse pointer. So far it works quite well.

My mouse Logitech Laser was working perfectly yesterday. This morning it doesn't. But the keyboard is fine. What do i do?I turned computer on off several time, i unplugged the USB that didn;t help

Remove the mouse from your computer and plug it back again and then power on your computer. If your mouse is usb then remove it and then power on your computer. Once your in the operating system enviroment, plug your usb mouse to get it detected by your computer. But if the mouse is detected and still it is not working then probably your mouse is defective. Bring it back to the store where you bought it and claim the mouse warranty. They will replace your mouse. Hope this could help you. Please don't forget to rate me..:-) Thanks..

Microsoft Wireless Desktop 3000 for Mac - mouse will not work

At the back of the mouse, there will be small flushed 'reset' button. Press that. It resets and reconfigures the connection. If it still doesn't work, the mouse has gone bad.

have a nice day :)

I am having this problem too. I've looked on various sites and forums online and found that this may be a grounding problem with the outlet or house. A simple way to check if it's a grounding problem is to touch the metal (aluminum) part of the Mac and if it stops it's because you are now grounding the machine. Even though touching the metal casing may help, it ultimately dosen't stop the problem. ( and isn't convientient to hold the casing while you work) You may want to check your outlet. I've found that the problem is only occuring in our work room. And the mouse/Mac functions properly in my bedroom. Unfortuantely, this may not be the solution either but I've heard it's worked for some people. It hasn't worked for me even though touching the casing on my Mac stops the clicking, I've found my house is properly grounded. Another soultion/issue (however you want to look at it) that was given to me is static in the area may be interfering. :( All in all, really inconvientent as I don't want to have to move the Mac from the work room to the bedroom as the mouse should just work properly in any room I want to put it in. Also I am worried if it is electrical that it may also be harming my Mac. :( Something to consider.
