SOURCE: what is nb/anl,anl,off, on a connex? Whats the

I assume this is your model of radio here at the following link:

http://www.www.premiere-electronics.net/store/connex3300hp.html

Just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and highlighted text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated.

The NB stands for Noise Blanker and is a noise filtering setting.
The ANL stands for Automatic Noise Limiter and is also a noise filter circuit.
The NB / ANL setting means both filters are enabled.
The OFF setting means both filters are disabled.

For best results you should probably run with both enabled (NB / ANL).

SOURCE: what exactly does the anl nb/anl button do on my

ANL stands for "Automatic Noise Limiter" and NB stands for "Noise Blanker".

The ANL gets rid of a lot of interference noise caused by mechanical noise from motors and other electronic components in a car.

It also gets rid of noise from other sources of interference.

The NB is for extreme cases of noise, but can slightly lessen your receive sensitivity.

Basically both functions help decrease interference noise.

CB Plays out PA Speaker

Are you following the user manual that came with the radio?
NB-ANL/CB/PA SWITCH: When the switch is in the NB/ANL position, the Noise Blanker (NB) and Automatic Noise Limiter (ANL) circuits are activated.
The Noise Blanker is very effective in eliminating repetitive impulse noise such as ignition interference. In the CB position, the PA function is disabled and the radio will transmit and receive on the speaker that is connected. In the PA position,
the radio acts as public address amplifier. Your voice will come out of the speaker that is plugged into the PA. SP. jack on the rear panel. The radio does not operate when you are in the PA mode.

When you plug a speaker into the ext. jack does it kill the radios internal speaker? It should until you unplug it; if not and you are following the about you may have a wiring issue with the jacks.

What is a voic box on a cobra 29 ltd? What is a good antt combo four a 29 ltd?

Cobra's LTD 29 model Citizen's Band radio features the full 40 channels allowed and a heavy-duty microphone. The radio provides 4 watts of AM radio frequency output with a switchable automatic noise limiter and noise blanker. Other features include Cobra's Delta-Tune function. Making a Cobra LTD 29 hear and receive better involves making changes to the radio's settings, including the settings specific to this brand.
M/F Turn the switch labeled "NB/ANL, ANL, OFF" to the "ANL" position and try the transmission again if noise is affecting reception. "ANL" is an automatic noise limiter function and reduces noise caused by the vehicle's electrical systems and electronics.

M/F Switch to "NB/ANL" to activate the noise blanker, which may also reduce noise if you continue to have problems. It's an RF noise filtration function and will help with ignition noise.

M/F Adjust the "RF Gain" knob by turning it clockwise to increase gain in weak signal areas if you have problems hearing radio traffic.

M/F Set the "Delta-Tune" function to capture a more listenable signal and get rid of adjacent channel noise. Rotate the knob labeled "Deltatune" to the center position for best tuning. Try micro-adjustments to the left or right as well.

M/F Turn the volume up if you still can't hear and as with any CB radio, adjust the squelch if the radio is noisy when there's no traffic. Turn the knob labeled "Squelch" all the way to the left to receive all signals, including noise and turn the control clockwise until the background noise stops. You will be able to hear the strongest transmissions without having to listen to weak signals and noise.
The service manual can be found here

Problem is i have to have a flashing light on the truck i drive and the light causes a lot of interference in the reception is there something i can do to eliminate this problem

switch the Anl/NB on. The only other option is to put a ferrite rod on your antenna coax 6 inches from radio(taped to coax itself) a ferrite rod is an old AM radio bar. If that doesn't help, wait until your parked and turn off flashing lights.

White noise on the receive any help would be appreciated . dx-2517 base

sounds like your receive is off frequency. Try tuning it in with the clarifier. If you can tune it in better then you need to align the receive.

I have a cobra cb and it makes a weird sound all the time, when i accelerate the sound gets biger

What you are getting is ignition noise from the engine of your car. Could be spark plug noise or alternator whine. If your radio has a ANL or NB switch, turn it on. If that does not fix it, you may have to get a filter for your powerline or change where you are getting power for the radio. Hope this helps, with the limited info available. Let me know,,,Mechanic
