Question about Apple iPod classic MP3 Player
Try using a different usb port on your computer. If that does not work, then try using a different cord just in case the other one has stopped working. If that still does not work, try using an updated itunes software because that ipod only works with the latest software. You can go here to download it: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If that still doesn't work, look at the ipod and see if when you plug it in to the computer, something comes onto the screen or it starts charging. If something comes on the screen, a new updated itunes should solve the problem. If nothing comes up on the screen, then you will need to get it checked and serviced in a shop.

If you did a hard reset and it still doesn't connect, not even to windows explorer, most likely you have a broken logic board, you can try to replace it yourself, there are guides websites online that teach you iPod repair
