Troubleshooting in car cd player

I just hooked up this cd player in my car because the old one stopped working. i have subwoofers in the trunk and for some reason the subwoofers only work with the radio. when i put in a cd the lights on my amp shut off and the subs wont work. i have never seen something like this happen.

That is very strange but it could be that when you put the cd in the radio it maybe sending out a quick shot of amplified power I would try disconecting the subs put in a cd let it play a little then plug the subs in while the cd is playing and see if they work if this works you may to get a new radio or put in a switch to turn the subs off or some type of momentary circuit breaker I'm just trying to help I never saw anything like that before good luck........

Jvc kd-g340 rear speakers not working. I recently bought the car with this unit installed. I noticed that there is a l/r cable, power, ground in the trunk which means there was probably a subwoofer...

check the wires in the back of the stereo if not then make sure the back speakers are not hooked up to a internal amp and if it is make sure that it is not blown

Hook up the remote wire from the head unit (grey w/ orange stripe) to the power antenna wire (blue) on the wiring harness adapter.

Subwoofer in my car works only on tuner

I had the same problem. most radios have a power antenna wire and an amp turn on wire it sounds like your amps are being turned on by the power ant wire that loses power when you put a cd in try swapping the blue with blue and white wire this should solve it

I wanna hook an ..

Yes. Just run your RCA leads to the amp (after properly wiring it). You can use either the front of rear pre-out connections. If your amp has a built in crossover, Use the low-pass filter setting at around 60Hz.
A copy of the owner's manual can be found here if you need it:

Hope this helps!

Clarion dxz665mp cd player

I think you connect the wrong remote wire to the subwoofer amp.
This cd player it has 2 blue remote wires, one is for PWR ANTENNA (BLUE ONLY),when you insert the cd,this wire cut out the pwr,so,is when your subwoofers stop working.
The other blue wire is the REMOTE (BLUE W/WHITE) Wire, this is the one you need to connect to the Amplifier.

Let me know if work
Thank you

No sub when listening to a cd

you're using the wrong remote output wire. You have it hooked to the power ANTenna wire (blue) which turns off when not using the tuner. You need to use the REM OUT wire (blue w/ white stripe).
